On 3 October 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Ali bin Khalfan Al Mansouri, Director of the Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duty.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the overall bilateral relations between Thailand and Qatar and reaffirmed their collaboration in addressing global challenges and providing mutual supports in international forums and organizations, based on mutual interests. Moreover, H.E. Ambassador commended Qatar's significant role in addressing global issues, especially in leading mediation for conflict resolution and sustaining peace, promoting sustainable development, and providing humanitarian assistance. He also expressed his appreciation for Qatar's support to Thailand for the inscription of Si Thep Historical Park as the new UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. H.E. Ambassador Al Mansouri commended Thailand's constructive role in multilateralism and reaffirmed the Ministry's readiness to working closely with the Royal Thai Embassy and provide further support Thailand in its future endeavors.
