On 11 October 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of State for Interior Affairs of Qatar, on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duty.

During the meeting, both sides discussed overall bilateral relations between Thailand and Qatar, the exchange of visits, and the facilitation of travelers between both countries, as well as cooperation in security matters. H.E. Ambassador commended Qatar's exceptional role in hosting international meetings, the Doha Expo 2023, and world-renowned entertainment and sports events. Moreover, H.E. Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the Ministry's support to the Embassy and ensuring the wellbeing of Thai nationals residing in Qatar, while H.E. the Minister of State welcomed H.E. Ambassador to Qatar and reaffirmed the Ministry's readiness to working closely with the Royal Thai Embassy in its endeavors.
