On 18 October 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Sultan Bin Rashid Al-Khater, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Qatar, on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duty. During the meeting, both sides discussed the overall bilateral relations between Thailand and Qatar and ways to further economic cooperation, especially on promoting trade and investment between the two countries. H.E. Ambassador commended Qatar's significant economic and industrial infrastructure, and extended an invitation to Qatar authorities to explore investment opportunities in Thailand. H.E. Undersecretary welcomed H.E. Ambassador to Qatar and expressed the Ministry's full support for the Embassy's endeavors and promoting cooperation between the two countries.
