On 14 May 2026, Mr. Kit Devahastin, Chargé d'Affaires, a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy, hosted a dinner for Thai students in Qatar on the occasion of the end of the academic year and Eid Al Adha 2026 at Isaan Restaurant, Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel & Villas. Embassy officials, staff members, and their families also attended the event.
On this occasion, Chargé d'Affaires, a.i. and Embassy officials joined the students for dinner, engaged in conversations, and inquired about their studies, well-being, and experiences living in Qatar. The occasion also served as an opportunity to extend encouragement and support to Thai students pursuing their education abroad and away from their families, as well as to exchange views on ways to further promote the participation of Thai students in the Embassy’s future activities.
Currently, there are 19 Thai students studying in Qatar. Most are secondary school students receiving scholarships from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the State of Qatar, while others are undergraduate students enrolled at universities under the Qatar Foundation.
On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy also extends its congratulations to Mr. Smit Runwong and Mr. Muhammadsamsarif Samaedam on their graduation in the academic year 2026 from the Institute of Religious Studies Preparatory and Secondary School for Boys in Doha.
