On 11 October 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy in Doha organized a ceremony to pay homage on the occasion of the Navamindra Maharaja the Great Day, 13 October 2023. As a tribute and in loving memory of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, presided over the ceremony and led the Embassy's officials, staff, and spouses in a moment of silence.

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua officially designated 13 October as "Navamindra Maharaj Day" in hohour of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. This decision, proposed by the Royal Thai government on 26 September 2023, is dedicated to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.
