On 31 August 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy in Doha, in collaboration with Benjarong Restaurant at Dusit Doha Hotel, organized the “Thai Gastronomy in Qatar” event. This event aimed to ignite a passion for Thai food, encourage cultural exchanges, and support Thai entrepreneurs in Qatar. The event featured prominent influencers in Qatar's online community, such as FoodJoy and 24hrfoodie, who participated in tasting various Thai dishes. Their experiences were shared across social media platforms.

During the event, Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, emphasized that Thai cuisine is a cultural heritage and local wisdom passed down through generations, reflecting various aspects of Thai culture and identity. This event not only promotes Thai cuisine in Qatar but also underscores the Embassy's commitment to fostering cultural exchanges, supporting Thai entrepreneurs in Qatar, strengthening people-to-people connections between two countries, and contributing to long-term food security in Qatar.
