On 1 September 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, accompanied by his spouse and Embassy officials, attended the opening ceremony of the Thai Language and Thai Culture School for the 2023 – 2024 academic year. This year, the school welcomes 25 Thai youths aged 4 to 11. During this event, H.E. Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the volunteer teachers and emphasized the school's vital role in instilling Thai identity and culture in the Thai youths in Qatar, as well as promoting the Thai language. He also reiterated the Embassy’s commitment to supporting the school's activities.

The Thai Language and Thai Culture School in Qatar was established in 2009 by a dedicated group of Thai volunteers with the goal of educating Thai youth in Qatar about the Thai language, traditions and culture. Currently, the school has a team of five volunteer teachers, with Ms. Kongkan Chitratanachinda serving as the Principal.
