On 11 August 2017, His Excellency Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum, Ambassador of Thailand, donated 5,470.45 Qatari Riyal (50,000 Baht) as a grant to support the work of the Committee of Thai Community in Qatar. Mr. Noppadol Penglong, Chairman of the Committee of Thai Community in Qatar, received the fund on behalf of the Committee which will be used to help and assist the Thai people in distress or facing emergency situation in Qatar.
