On 4 October 2026, H.E. Ms. Pensom Lertsithichai, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, along with Embassy officials, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Majed Mohammed Al-Ansari, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duties.

 

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on overall bilateral relations between Thailand and Qatar and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest. They also discussed the importance of promoting high-level exchanges between two countries, as well as exchanged views on the current regional situation and key developments.

 

H.E. Ambassador commended Qatar’s prominent role in the international community, particularly its efforts in mediation. She also expressed appreciation for Qatar’s assistance in facilitating the safe return of Thai nationals from the Gaza strip, as well as for Qatar’s continued support for Thailand. H.E. Dr. Al-Ansari welcomed H.E Ambassador to Qatar and expressed appreciation for Thailand’s role and capabilities, particularly in the medical and wellness sectors. He also reaffirmed Qatar’s continued support and readiness to work closely with the Royal Thai Embassy in advancing bilateral cooperation and supporting its endeavours
