On 5 October 2026, H.E. Ms. Pensom Lertsithichai, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Mubarak bin Ajlan Al-Kuwari, Executive Director of the Permanent Committee for Organizing Conferences (PCOC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on ways to strengthen Thailand-Qatar in international conferences management and facilitation, including the sharing of Qatar’s experience in hosting major international meetings and events and facilitating the participation of delegates from around the world. The discussion also reflected Qatar’s growing role as an international hub for dialogue, conferences and major global events. Thailand looks forward to exploring opportunities to exchange experiences and further develop practical cooperation in this area.

 

The PCOC is a department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar responsible for the coordination and facilitation of international conferences, negotiations, and major international events hosted by the State of Qatar.
