H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, welcomed H.E. Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Deputy Permanent Secretary, and the delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand during their visit to Qatar between 2 – 3 September 2024.
During the visit, the delegation held fruitful discussions with Mr. Mubarak bin Ajlan Al-Kuwari, Executive Director of the Permanent Committee for Organizing Conferences (PCOC) and H.E. Ambassador Ibrahim Yousif Abdullah Fakhro, Director of the Protocol Department, on 2 September 2024 and Ms. Al-Johara Yousef Fakhro, Acting Director of Asian Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, on 3 September 2024. Both sides explored ways to enhance the constructive bilateral partnership between Thailand and Qatar, discussed mutual cooperation within multilateral frameworks, and considered potential high-level exchanges of visits. In addition, the delegation met with representatives from Qatar’s hospitality sector, further strengthening ties in this key area.
The Deputy Permanent Secretary and his delegation also visited the new Chancery of the Royal Thai Embassy and the Consular Section, which has been operational since 1 May 2024.
