On 7 November 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, delivered a special online lecture on "Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities: A Case for Diplomats in International Politics and International Law", at the invitation of the Faculty of Law, Mae Fah Luang University. During the lecture, H.E. Ambassador discussed the developments of law related to diplomatic privileges and immunities from past to present, providing examples of practical enforcement cases and addressing challenges in applying local laws to foreign diplomats. H.E. Ambassador also engaged in Q&A session and exchanged views with both students and professor (Assistant Professor Dr. Chookiat Noychim).

This lecture marked H.E. Ambassador’s 6th presentation on this topic at Mae Fah Luang University, highlighting the commitment of Thai diplomat to enhance public diplomacy through sharing knowledge and hands-on experiences in the field of international affairs.
