On 19 January 2025, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, attended the Phuket Roadshow to Doha, a business-matching event aimed at fostering collaboration between tourism and hospitality businesses from Phuket province and Qatari stakeholders in tourism sector. The event was organized by the Phuket Tourist Association, the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization and the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Dubai Office, in collaboration with Qatar Airways.

 

During the event, H.E. Ambassador delivered welcome remarks highlighting the importance of strengthening business partnerships between Phuket and Qatar while promoting Phuket’s sustainable tourism initiatives. H.E. Ambassador also engaged with representatives from Phuket’s local businesses, exchanging views on strategies to promote tourism and enhance bilateral ties in this dynamic sector. Qatar Airways has increased their daily flight operations to Phuket from 2 flights to 3 flights daily.
